Something different again for Photography Club! Our August meet was courtesy of Clacton Pier who kindly gave us permission to pop down with our cameras for an evening of photography.
This gave so much opportunity for practice in some of the subjects we’ve covered at club night. Lots of Shutter Speed practice with so many fast moving rides, some cracking street photography and as the sun set, plenty of fast moving low lights!
Just a small group this month, often the case in August when people are on holiday however this was a good thing. A large group of photographers may have attracted too much attention.
With so much to explore both on and under the pier, the club goers filled their boots with some great photo opportunites…and the sun set behind a mackerel sky making it a superb ending to a lovely evening.
Here are some of the photographs taken on the night;
September’s meet will be back at the Quaker Meeting House in Colchester on Thursday 8th September, 7-9pm. We’ll be exploring off camera flash which will be simplified and practiced so suitable for all levels. We hope to have some great models too. Bring along any props such as hats, feather boas..whatever takes your fancy! If you have a flash gun and any triggers then do please bring them along too.
See you then and thanks for reading.
